Procedures to apply for Reimbursement
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graduate Student Funding<\/p>\n

CAAS encourages the participation of graduate students in our conferences by providing partial funding to assist with travel expenses for Canadian graduate students or graduate students attending a Canadian University. To qualify you must have your supervisor or department send a letter via email to the CAAS Office indicating that you are a registered student at the time of the conference. Please download the application form below and read the instructions carefully. Immediately following the conference, copy and paste the form above into a word document, complete it, and email the form to caasacea@carleton.ca. Be sure to save all your receipts. Scan and attach them along with the form to your email in jpg or pdf format. Deadline for submission is May 31, 2013.
\nPlease note: Graduate students presenting papers at the 2013 conference are eligible for the Fraser Taylor Prize. Essays must follow consistent CJAS style guidelines, including a title page, a bibliography, and parenthetical references within the text. Essays may be revised but must be submitted as an attachment to caasacea@carleton.ca no later than June 30, 2013. Winners are invited to submit their manuscripts to CJAS\/RCEA.<\/p>\n

CONDITIONS OF FUNDING\/CONDITIONS DE FINANCEMENT:
\nCAAS\/ACEA endeavours to support the work of new scholars entering the field of African Studies through the partial funding of graduate student travel. This form should be submitted at the conference or within one week following and meet the following conditions.
\nL\u2019ACEA s\u2019\u00e9vertue \u00e0 soutenir le travail de nouveaux universitaires qui arrivent dans le domaine des \u00e9tudes africaines \u00e0 travers le financement partiel du voyage des \u00e9tudiants de 2e et 3e cycle. Ce formulaire doit \u00eatre soumis pendant la conf\u00e9rence ou une semaine apr\u00e8s, et doit remplir les conditions suivantes:<\/p>\n

1. You MUST be a student at either the Masters or PhD level at a Canadian University at the time of the conference\/ \u00catre \u00e9tudiant de Ma\u00eetrise ou Doctorat dans une universit\u00e9 canadienne au moment de la conf\u00e9rence.
\n2. Partial funding may only be applied for to help cover transportation and\/or accommodation costs. CAAS\/ACEA does not reimburse registration fees\/ La demande de financement partiel n\u2019est destin\u00e9e qu\u2019\u00e0 couvrir les frais de transport et\/ou de logement. L\u2019ACEA ne rembourse pas les frais d\u2019inscription.
\n3. ONLY OFFICIAL RECEIPTS (either originals or scanned copies in pdf format) clearly identifying you as the payer (e.g. a credit card or hotel receipt with your name on it)will be accepted by the Secretariat for reimbursement.\/ SEULS LES RE\u00c7US OFFICIELS (originaux ou en format pdf) identifiant clairement le payeur (ex.
