After graduation, she moved to&nbsp;Lesotho, a small landlocked country in Southern Africa, to pursue an&nbsp;internship with Help Lesotho, a non-profit organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Help Lesotho, Stephanie&nbsp;works alongside local staff to prevent HIV\/AIDS, promote gender equity, encourage social justice&nbsp;and support&nbsp;vulnerable children, youth and grandmothers.&nbsp;The Institute of African Studies\u2019&nbsp;inter-disciplinary approach allowed Stephanie to focus her studies on her area&nbsp;of interest,&nbsp;Southern Africa, while also obtaining a well-round education&nbsp;in African cultures, languages, literature and politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During her undergrad, she took&nbsp;a work placement course and traveled to Southern Africa to enrich her studies.
