“Displace: The Poetry of Nduka Otiono” <\/em>is the latest publication of our very own Dr. Nduka Otiono Associate Professor of \u00a0English and Graduate Program Coordinator here at the Institute of African Studies.<\/p>\n

DisPlace<\/em> is a book that straddles multiple poetic traditions and places African intellectual history at the forefront of an engagement with Western poetics. Otiono in this book engages actively with a diasporic world and is equally at home critiquing petroculture in Nigeria and in Canada.<\/p>\n

The book will be launched in-person<\/strong> on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at the\u00a0 Humanities Lecture Hall, Paterson 303. There will also be a virtual live stream\u00a0 online on Zoom.<\/p>\n
