Move as a collective <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Carleton PhD student Sarah George<\/a>\u00a0starts off a special issue on Black Radicalism for the Briarpatch magazine with an interview of decades-long activist Adrienne Coddett. George is a recent recipient of the Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship and will continue to explore the experiences of African, Caribbean, and Black women in Canada during her doctoral research.\"\" History isn\u2019t only recorded in libraries and national conservatories \u2013 people too can be the archive. Inspired by the Black tradition of oral history and storytelling, I met up with decades-long activist Adrienne Coddett in her classroom at Woodroffe High School in Ottawa to talk about the history of Black radical organizing in the national capital region, how she first got involved in movements for Black liberation, and lessons she\u2019d like to pass on to organizers.
