The Institute of African Studies is pleased to welcome Dr.Liu Haifang, who has joined the institute today as a visiting scholar.<\/p>\n
Dr. Liu is an Associate Professor in the School of International Studies, Peking University, and the Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Centre for African Studies at the same university. She is also Vice President of the Chinese Society of African Historical Studies. She has published extensively in both Mandarin and English on China-Africa relations, with a particular focus on Angola.<\/p>\n
Dr. Liu will be here until mid-February. While she is here, her research will focus on Canada-Africa relations.<\/p>\n
