Her work engages the transformative potential of Indigenous knowledge systems within pluralist contexts across Africa, Europe, and North America. She is currently an AIReKEMA Research Fellow at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, in partnership with the East African Hub of the Refugee Law Project at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, where her research explores the transformative potential of intra-Indigenous knowledge systems in the governance of climate-induced mobility. Specifically, her project explores how Maasai and Ag\u0129k\u0169y\u0169 knowledge systems at Kenya\u2019s Kajiado\u2013Kiambu borderland encounter, challenge, negotiate, and transform one another, and what these encounters might mean for climate-induced migration governance and peacebuilding in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eva Ann Wanjiku Chege holds a Joint Master&#8217;s degree in Migration and Intercultural Relations from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (Germany) and the University of Stavanger (Norway), where she was an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her professional experience spans diverse institutions, including the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice in Kenya, the Slovenian Migration Institute in Slovenia, and the International Organization for Migration in Czechia.
