Specifically, John has extensive experience in how governance contexts influence migration decision at climate-vulnerable locations, natural resource conflict and resource curse, forest management, mineral development fund policy and the role of translocal practices on, and political ecology of, agroforestry, as a nature-based solution for climate change. John has also gained extensive experience in migration and translocality in West Africa through the Mitra|WA project for his PhD research.
