And yet, so many of our scholarly life cycles begin and end in the Global North. We study \u201cthe field,\u201d publish in Western journals, chase citations, present at European conferences, and then move on to the next project. But what does it mean to write about a place\u2014and never return to listen?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
