Dr. Kabir joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University as an Assistant Professor in July 2016. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Materials Engineering at McGill University, from where he also completed his PhD in 2015.<\/p>\n
Prof. Kabir\u2019s personal research interests are primarily focused on additive manufacturing, industrial deformation, welding and joining, microstructure-mechanical properties, and advanced characterization techniques of materials, which demonstrates a commitment to fundamental materials engineering with the purpose of application to established industrial practice.
