The team is finding links between the Salli Benedict collection and audio visual (AV) materials that capture basket making and its cultural significance in the community.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\">\n<p><div id=\"attachment_232\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 826px\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-232\" src=\"https:\/\/grasac.artsci.utoronto.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/kellyEdwards.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 826px) 100vw, 826px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grasac.artsci.utoronto.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/kellyEdwards.jpg 768w, https:\/\/grasac.artsci.utoronto.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/kellyEdwards-225x300.jpg 225w\" alt=\"\" width=\"826\" height=\"1101\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">John Medicine Horse Kelly and Raienkonnis Edwards discuss how to best preserve the content from older AV materials.<\/p><\/div><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As part of this process the team is digitizing AV collections that include important teachings about Haudenosaunee culture and creating digital records of the Salli Benedict basket collection.
