Launch of New Institute<\/h3>\n

Carleton\u2019s \u0100nako Indigenous Research Institute will bring together researchers, students, and Indigenous communities to foster dialogue and understanding of ethical, balanced, and respectful research with Indigenous peoples and in Indigenous territories.<\/p>\n

\u0100nako\u2019s launch in the summer of 2021 responds to the the\u00a0Calls to Action<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>laid out in the\u00a0Kin\u00e0m\u00e0gawin (Learning Together) Report<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0builds upon the foundations laid from 1993 onwards by Carleton\u2019s Centre for Indigenous Research, Culture, Language and Education (CIRCLE).<\/p>\n

\u0100nako\u2019s Upcoming Initiatives for 2021-22<\/h3>\n

With generous funding for the coming 2021-22 year being provided by the Office of the Assistant Vice President of Indigenous Initiatives, we are excited to be planning for a number of research events and initiatives in the coming year:<\/p>\n
