The ideal candidate will have experience in one, or more, of the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deep learning, auto-encoders, anomaly detection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) modeling, Computational fluid dynamics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wind power forecasting methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Big data analytics, algorithm parallelization, database development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Applications are welcome from all areas of engineering, applied math and computer science, and are especially encouraged from under-represented groups including, but not limited to: women; visible minorities; First Nations, Inuit and M\u00e9tis peoples; persons with disabilities; and persons of any sexual orientation, gender identity and\/or expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">A background in Python programming is considered a strong asset.
