Mutalab is currently involved in two research projects. He has been conducting pavement distress survey in the City of St. John&#8217;s to classify, rank and compile state of the art solutions for these distresses. In addition, he has been working on understanding the root causes of ruts in NL roads and how they can be mitigated.\u00a0 Mutalab holds a Master\u2019s degree in Civil and Environment engineering from the University of Le Havre in France.
