{"id":102,"date":"2022-03-16T10:25:59","date_gmt":"2022-03-16T14:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/autism_cu\/?page_id=102"},"modified":"2023-02-25T13:13:09","modified_gmt":"2023-02-25T18:13:09","slug":"autism_and_covid","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/autism_cu\/autism_and_covid\/","title":{"rendered":"Autistic University Students&#8217; Experiences During the Covid-19 Pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this research, we have investigated how autistic university students responded to the COVID epidemic, and how it impacted their social and academic experiences at university.<\/p>\n<p>We found that several inter-related factors (personal, interactional, and environmental) affected autistic students\u2019 learning experiences, including their preferences for in person versus online learning. Although some commonalities were found among the students in their lived experiences, each student is unique and requires different supports.
