{"id":315,"date":"2017-10-11T13:17:34","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T17:17:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/auto\/?page_id=315"},"modified":"2018-04-12T10:34:31","modified_gmt":"2018-04-12T14:34:31","slug":"research-areas","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/auto\/research-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Carleton University currently has\u00a0<strong>over 100<\/strong> researchers within the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/\">Faculty of Engineering and Design<\/a> (Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electronics, Systems and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Information Technology) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/science.carleton.ca\/\">Faculty of Science<\/a> (Computer Science, Cognitive Science) who are actively engaged in various aspects of advanced Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications, including connected and autonomous vehicles.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h4>From among all the many projects and research interests at the university, there are several areas of concentration emerging.
