When you applied for OSAP you were asked to estimate your income. Now is a good time to review the income information the Ministry has on file for you and ensure it reflects what you actually earned. The Ministry will verify the income you report with Revenue Canada so it is important to keep this information up to date. A large variance on what you report with OSAP and what you actually earned can impact your eligibility for future funding.
Updating Your Income Online
Updating your income can be completed online by logging on to your OSAP account at ontario.ca/osap. After logging in, click on “Check Status” next to your current OSAP application.
Then, under Step 3: Before your funding can be released, select the link next to “Update Your Income” and fill in the required information. In the following screenshot, this student’s income has already been updated.
Please note that if you have received an income update form in the mail, you can still update your information online without having to drop off the completed form at the Awards Office.
If you have any questions about the income update process please do not hesitate to contact us. You can email us at email@example.com. Don’t forget to include your student number.
The income update process can only be completed online once. If you need to make adjustments or provide a second income update, please contact us.
