The student loans you received through OSAP are issued by the National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC). The NSLSC uses your last confirmed study period with OSAP to determine when you will have to start repaying your loan. If you are returning to studies full-time without the assistance of Full-Time OSAP, you can keep your loans interest and payment-free by applying for Continuation of Interest-Free Status (CIFS).

Applying for CIFS is now easier than ever. You no longer need to submit a signed application in-person to the Awards Office. Instead, complete the online application at Submitting the application online will only take a few seconds and you will have the added benefit of being able to track your application’s status through your OSAP account.
