{"id":1012,"date":"2019-09-03T09:34:41","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T13:34:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/barrylab\/?post_type=cu-people&#038;p=1012"},"modified":"2025-12-23T10:13:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T15:13:08","slug":"eden-goodwin","status":"publish","type":"cu-people","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/barrylab\/people\/eden-goodwin\/","title":{"rendered":"Eden Goodwin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eden \u201c<strong>The Bean<\/strong>\u201d Goodwin (<em>NSERC PGS-D scholar<\/em>, They\/Them or She\/Her) is a PhD student studying vapour phase etch, deposition, and surface modification techniques through in-situ quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) measurements.<\/p>\n<p>She is the office manager for the Barry Lab.<\/p>\n<p>They are part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.src.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbon-2-metal-institute.queensu.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carbon to Metal Coating Institute (C2MCI)<\/a> research collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/publish.uwo.ca\/~pragogna\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ragogna group<\/a> from Western University and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cruddengroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Crudden research lab<\/a> from Queen&#8217;s University investigating the roles of N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) as small molecule inhibitors.<\/p>\n<p>She is also working with the Ragogna group on measuring the oxygen-scavenging ability of phosphorus-containing molecular layer deposited films.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to learn more about their research, feel free to email and check out her <a href=\"https:\/\/chemrxiv.org\/engage\/chemrxiv\/article-details\/633c6993f764e654610e2779\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">most\u00a0recent paper<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"people-type":[21,26],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.2 -
