As can be seen in the diagram above, understanding well-being is a central topic and viewed as interconnected with behaviours, correlates and mechanisms of behaviour, and how we assess these variables. People working in the lab study a variety of topics including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Well-Being:<\/strong> flourishing, meaning, positive and negative affect, and symptoms of depression and anxiety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Behaviours: <\/strong>physical activity and exercise, sport, screen time and social media, sleep quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Correlates and Mechanisms:<\/strong> Psychological need satisfaction and frustration, autonomous and controlled motivation, harmonious and obsessive passion, self-compassion, family achievement guilt, minority stress, procrastination, mindfulness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Assessment:<\/strong> reliability and validity evidence for scores of self-report instruments, adapting self-report instruments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"ongoing-projects-in-the-lab-include\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ongoing Projects in the lab include:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SSHRC-funded project examining the role of quality screen time experiences and well-being<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A collaborative project with Drs.
