Dr. Thierry Drapeau is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Transnational Studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He holds a PhD in the multidisciplinary program of Social and Political Thought at York University, Toronto. His research seeks primarily to recover and examine forerunner forms of cross-border labour solidarity during the rise of the early modern Atlantic world (c.1500-1850), as part of challenging the Eurocentric views on working-class internationalism and sketching out an alternative approach. He is the co-editor of L’Internationale sera le genre humain! De l’Association internationale des travailleurs à aujourd’hui (M Éditeur, 2015). His work has appeared in Aspects sociologiques, Politics, and at the University of Toronto Press.
