We strongly recommend that you take advantage of this travel support network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here are some examples of scenarios in which you can get support:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You&#8217;ve been sick and are wondering if you should see a doctor.\u00a0 By calling or texting with International SOS, they can connect you with a doctor immediately who will make a recommendation based on your symptoms and will advise you the location of a nearby medical clinic if you require medical attention.\u00a0 You can even text pictures (of a rash, for example) and they will provide advice based on that!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you arrive at your destination and your partner organization is not at the airport, International SOS can provide guidance on safe taxi companies and\/or accommodations in the area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have any concerns about incidents or reports occurring in the region\/country you are visiting, you can call or text for more information and for expert recommendations for your safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"how-to-access-international-sos\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to access International SOS:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"step-1-download-the-app\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Download the app<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to your Smartphone browser and enter <a href=\"http:\/\/app.internationalsos.com\">http:\/\/app.internationalsos.com<\/a> to download the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The International SOS app has a <strong>direct dial button<\/strong>. You can access International SOS by phone or text messaging at any point on your experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"step-2-set-up-your-profile\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Set up your profile<em> &nbsp;<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You must set up your profile using your Carleton University email address<strong>.<\/strong>&nbsp; Your family are welcome to call International SOS for information if they have concerns while you are away.&nbsp;Your confidential information will not be shared without your permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"step-3-upload-your-flight-information\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Upload your flight information<strong><br>\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Forward your flight e-ticket from your university email address to <a href=\"mailto:mytrips@travelsecurity.com\">mytrips@travelsecurity.com<\/a>. Once this is done, you will receive a Pre-Trip Advisory for the country\/ies that you are visiting.&nbsp; You will also be registered for email alerts specific to your destination\/s.
