Writing Tutorial Service
The writing consultant offers friendly, professional, one-on-one support to students in the College of Humanities at all stages of the writing process, from choosing a topic and getting started to polishing the final version. The goal is that working with a writing consultant will help you in developing skills to improve your writing in all areas. This is not just a remedial service for students struggling with essay-writing: all writers, at all levels, benefit from constructive feedback!
We can work on a particular assignment, or on writing issues in general. If you are working on a particular assignment, be sure to bring the directions for the assignment and any other relevant course materials. If you would like to work on writing issues in general, bring in a sample of your academic writing from the past; it is always easier to talk about writing with concrete examples on hand.
