Distinguished University Professor at the University of Ottawa, and Honorary Professor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney, Douglas Moggach has held visiting appointments at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, and at the Universities of M\u00fcnster, Cambridge, Sydney, and Queen Mary University of London. In 2007, he was awarded a Canada Council Killam Research Fellowship. His research focuses on German philosophy from Leibniz to Marx, from historical and systematic perspectives. He has published widely in the field, including The Philosophy and Politics of Bruno Bauer<\/em> (Cambridge, 2003); The New Hegelians<\/em> (Cambridge, 2006); Politics, Religion, and Art: Hegelian Debates<\/em> (Northwestern, 2011). In 1995, he published, with Winfried Schulze, Bruno Bauer:<\/em> \u00dcber die Prinzipien des Sch\u00f6nen. De pulchri principiis<\/em> (Akademie Verlag), a Latin-German edition of a newly-discovered 1829 prize manuscript in aesthetics by a student of Hegel. His work has appeared in seven languages.
