After Humanities, I earned degrees in civil law and common law from McGill. I then\u00a0worked at a large national law firm and a corporate governance boutique. More recently, I was Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada before joining the Indigenous Law group at Nelligan O\u2019Brien Payne LLP.<\/p>\n

The Humanities program gave me a strong foundation for law and policy work by informing my understanding of the context of our legal and political system and the importance of good governance and the rule of law.\u00a0As a lawyer, I continue to use the critical thinking skills I developed at the College. I also have fond memories of the cultural events and the community of fellow students.<\/p>\n

During an era when technology and outsourcing replace an increasing range of positions in the Canadian work force, it is important to be able to think creatively and to develop a network of personal and professional relationships to build a foundation for long-term success. The College of the Humanities can be extremely helpful in achieving this.<\/p>\n
