BIOC 1500 is a first-year course that emphasizes the applied and societal dimensions of biochemistry and biotechnology and includes experiential learning activities\/demonstrations. Candidates should therefore demonstrate: (1) strong ability to communicate complex biochemical concepts to non-specialist; (2) experience designing or delivering applied, hands-on, or experiential learning activities in biochemistry, or biotechnology; and (3) familiarity with current applications of biotechnology across research, health, industry, and environmental sectors. Experience connecting students to industry contexts is an asset. Applicants are encouraged to describe in their application how their teaching and professional experience meets each of these criteria.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
