the&nbsp;<em>Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em>of Canada (<em>NSERC<\/em>) Alliance COVID-19 Grants to support a broad range of work, involving collaborations with the public, not-for-profit sectors and industry to address pandemic-related research and technical challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDuring this global pandemic, Carleton researchers have taken swift action to collaborate with partners in all sectors to find innovative ways to secure the wellness of Canadians,\u201d said Rafik Goubran, vice-president (Research and International). \u201cWe thank NSERC for their timely support of these vital projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/biology\/people\/kyle-biggar\/\">Kyle Biggar<\/a>, professor in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/biology\/\">Department of Biology<\/a>, in partnership with Zim Corporation, for the project\u00a0<em>COVID-19: Annotating and Controlling the Inter-Species Protein Interactome through the Development of Peptide Inhibitors for SARS-CoV-2 and Human Protein Interactions<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/biology\/people\/alex-wong\/\">Alex Wong<\/a>, professor in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/biology\/\">Department of Biology<\/a>, in partnership with Arkalumen Inc and the Children\u2019s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), for the project\u00a0<em>Evaluation of Ultraviolet-C Decontamination of Medical Masks During the COVID-19 Crisis<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a
