Contract Instructor Opportunities 2015-2016
\n<\/strong>Carleton University, Institute of Biochemistry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/strong>Pursuant to Article 16 of the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement, applications are invited from members of the CUPE 4600-2 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach the following Biochemistry courses during the 2015-2016 Fall\/Winter terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates should hold at least an MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field, and demonstrate teaching competence in a relevant area, preferably at the university level.  Priority will be given to candidates holding a PhD. For first and second year courses priority will be given to those with experience teaching large classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter<\/td>BIOC<\/td>4001<\/td>Methods in Biochemistry<\/td>Lectures Fridays 08:35-10:25<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

BIOC 4001 [0.5 credit]
\nMethods in Biochemistry<\/strong>
\nPrinciples and applications of modern biochemical methodology, including ultracentrifugation, electrophoresis, ELISA, EMSA, experimental planning, ligand binding kinetics, fluorescence spectroscopy, affinity purification, and in vitro translation.
\nPrerequisite(s): BIOC 3006<\/a> or permission of the Institute.
\nLectures and discussion two hours, laboratory six hours a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
