Current Research

I am interested in how animals respond to and cope with changes in their environment. Within this broad question I am interested in how physiological systems modulate the response to ecologically relevant stressors. My work has a strong integrative approach, combining techniques from physiology, endocrinology, behavior, and ecology. Most recently I have especially become interested in what role individual variation and phenotypic plasticity play in this context with regards to individual fitness.
