In this talk, Dr. Aerin Jacob (Nature Conservancy of Canada) will survey key conservation challenges across Canada and showcase practical solutions rooted in evidence and collaboration. She will illustrate how coordinated, evidence‐based action can yield measurable gains for species, ecosystems, and communities. The talk will offer insights on scaling up collective action to secure resilient landscapes for nature and people alike.

Bio:

Dr. Aerin Jacob is the Director of Science and Research and the Weston Family Senior Scientist at the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Active in research as well as the application of evidence to conservation practice and policy, she has special focus on landscape resilience and ecological connectivity. Aerin was a Wilburforce Fellow in Conservation Science, a Liber Ero Fellow, and received the Early Career Conservationist Award from the Society for Conservation Biology. She holds a PhD from McGill University, conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Victoria, and serves as chair of MakeWay’s board of directors and as an adjunct professor at the University of Northern British Columbia.

[15
post-17735","cu_event","type-cu_event","status-publish","hentry","cu_event_audience-anyone
["GET
