Cooke\" href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/biology\/people\/steven-j-cooke\/\">Cooke <\/a>&amp; <a title=\"Jean-Guy Godin\" href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/biology\/people\/jean-guy-godin\/\">Godin <\/a>labs<br>\n<strong>Abstract: <\/strong>Many, perhaps most organisms are encountering novel situations associated with human-induced rapid environmental change (HIREC): climate change, habitat change, novel enemies or resources, or novel pollutants (chemical, noise, light). Some species (or individuals within species) are adjusting well behaviorally to novel situations whereas others are not. While numerous case studies have quantified behavioral responses to HIREC, we currently lack a clear, conceptual\/theoretical framework for explaining the observed variation in these responses. To address this shortcoming, I have put together a \u2018Dream Team\u2019 of evolutionary ecology modelers.
