Registration for CHEM Matters will open in early July with student\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/time-tickets\/\">time tickets<\/a>. <\/strong>Feel free to visit the SSSC&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sssc.carleton.ca\/matters-series\/chem-matters\">website<\/a> which also has a live chat option or email <a href=\"mailto:chemmatters@carleton.ca\"><strong>chemmatters@carleton.ca<\/strong><\/a>, or call <strong>613-520-2600 ext. 3111<\/strong>.to learn more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>CHEM Matters<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CHEM Matters is a one-week, optional chemistry program held from <strong>August 29<sup>th<\/sup> to September 2<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/strong> It is open to anyone entering their first year in the Faculty of Science that will be taking CHEM 1001. CHEM Matters is designed as a refresher course that reviews students\u2019 fundamental knowledge of key chemistry concepts to better prepare them for CHEM 1001. The cost for the program is $150 including HST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Registration<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students register online via Carleton Central. Registration for CHEM Matters closes August 25<sup>th<\/sup> at noon for CHEM 0999. MATH Matters is designed as a refresher course that reviews students\u2019 fundamental knowledge of key math concepts to better prepare them for first-year math courses. The cost for the program is $250 including HST, and it includes in-person lectures, knowledge evaluation tests, access to a textbook, study groups with an upper-year student, access to small classrooms to interact with peers, and a designated Study Group Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to last year, there is a no-cost option, <a href=\"https:\/\/sssc.carleton.ca\/matters-series\/math4u\">MATH4U<\/a>, for students who prefer independent learning or do not need as much help with their math basics. Every first-year student in the programs listed above will be able to access the online lecture content and diagnostics tests in August on Brightspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Registration<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students register online via Carleton Central.
