\n Carleton Biology’s PhD Candidate Seeks Resident Input on Rideau Canal Shoreline Conservation\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Acacia Frempong-Manso, a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology<\/a> at Carleton University under the guidance of Dr. Steven Cooke<\/a>, is conducting a survey titled “Resident Perspectives on Shoreline Conservation along the Rideau Canal<\/em><\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study aims to gather valuable insights from residents residing near the Rideau Canal concerning their views on shoreline stabilization initiatives along the canal and how cultural values influence these perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents who reside within 5km of the Rideau Canal are encouraged to participate in this survey on shoreline conservation, which can be accessed via the following link: https:\/\/carletonu.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_0U6cOCvpVYRvum2<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘The Rideau Canal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that holds great cultural and environmental value. Participant insights will help in developing sustainable shoreline management strategies that balance conservation with the preservation of cultural heritage’ – says Acacia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
