\n Exciting Opportunity: GHEI’s 2025 Summer Serve and Learn Program\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Summer Serve and Learn (SSL) Program<\/a> is offered by GHEI in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program provides participants with a unique and immersive experience in rural Ghanaian communities. Students have the opportunity to work alongside local staff members and contribute to GHEI’s year-round health and education programs. This program offers two distinct sessions: a Program Evaluation session<\/a> and a Girls Empowerment Camp.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Program Evaluation session,<\/a> participants will be involved in a thorough and in-depth evaluation of children\u2019s health in the community, which will provide updated control data to improve health programs and understand how COVID-19 and the subsequent financial crisis have affected children\u2019s growth and vulnerability to infections, among other factors. Volunteers will help weigh and measure young children, ensure quality data collection, and complete data entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Girls Empowerment Camp session<\/a> offers participants the chance to work with local staff to design an engaging curriculum and conduct a comprehensive empowerment camp. Essential themes such as sexual and reproductive health, money management, and leadership will be covered, aiming to empower and inspire young girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
