Our Biology Postdoc – Dr. Tom Kazmirchuk<\/a> has made an impressive mark at McMaster University\u2019s prestigious Appetizers for the Mind<\/em> research competition. As the only in-person finalist from outside the Greater Toronto Area and the first-ever Carleton representative, Dr. Kazmirchuk delivered a compelling research talk that earned him the Second Popular Award<\/strong>, based on audience votes.<\/p>\n

The event, held on March 5, 2025<\/strong>, featured a lineup of postdoctoral researchers presenting their work in an engaging format. Attendees, both in-person and online, had the opportunity to vote for their favorite talk. Dr. Kazmirchuk\u2019s strong showing reflects not only his expertise but also the growing presence of Biology researchers on a national stage.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kazmirchuk is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Ashkan Golshani\u2019s<\/a> lab in the Department of Biology.<\/p>\n
