2026 Student Travel Awards<\/strong> &<\/strong> Certification Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications for 2026 OCTWS student travel and certification awards are open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ontario Chapter of the Wildlife Society (OCTWS) is offering two student travel awards to support attendance at wildlife research-focused conferences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       An award for $500<\/strong> to support student attendance at The Wildlife Society\u2019s (TWS) 2026 annual conference<\/a> (Nov. 1-5, 2026 in Des Moines, Iowa).  <\/strong>The call for abstracts is scheduled to open on April 20<\/strong> and close on May 27, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       A general student travel award for $250<\/strong> to support attendance to offset the cost of travel to any wildlife-related research conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also offering an award to cover the full cost of applying for TWS\u2019 Associate Wildlife Biologist\u00ae (AWB\u00ae) certification<\/a> (i.e., approximately $95-115 USD) <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards are only open to current OCTWS student members, but becoming a member, or renewing an expired membership is easy and affordable! All you need to do is purchase a student membership <\/strong>($5.00<\/strong> fee<\/strong>, payable by e-transfer or credit card) and complete the OCTWS Membership Application\/Renewal Form<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
