Dinosaur collecting in western Canada, between 1874-1889, formed the foundation of Canadian palaeontology as we know it. The fossils that were found, and their scientific significance, were poorly understood until now. By documenting the historical collection of these fossils and identifying them taxonomically, Brigid Christison and her colleagues uncovered numerous first Canadian occurrences which were previously unrecorded, along with some first global occurrences.<\/span><\/p>\n
