He served as&nbsp;department chair from 2012 to 2018, and later as&nbsp;Associate Dean (Research and Graduate)&nbsp;in the Faculty of Public Affairs from 2021 to 2024. He currently holds the prestigious&nbsp;Bell Chair in Canadian Parliamentary Democracy, returning to his core passions of teaching and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Malloy is a leading scholar in Canadian politics and public affairs, with a prolific publication record that includes&nbsp;seven books, most recently the co-edited volume&nbsp;<em>Politics of Ontario<\/em>. He also serves as the&nbsp;current president of the Canadian Political Science Association, reflecting his national leadership in the discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond his academic research, Professor Malloy is a recognized thought leader in&nbsp;postsecondary education reform. He co-authored&nbsp;<em>For the Public Good: Reimagining Arts Graduate Education in Canada<\/em>, a bold call for transformative change in graduate education. He also leads academic leadership training for department chairs across Canada and is a vocal advocate for the value of universities.
