Nadine is a passionate advocate for students and equity-owed populations\u00a0and\u00a0served\u00a0as CUPE Health Sciences Steward for 2025\/26.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nadine has years of leadership experience stemming from her community work in providing peer support and systems navigation&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;Community Advisory Board. Equipped with an intersectional, systems-level approach to governance decisions and firsthand experience engaging with academic institutions, healthcare systems, housing providers, and government bodies,<s>;<\/s>&nbsp;Nadine\u2019s&nbsp;experience&nbsp;has given her&nbsp;insight into how policy decisions translate into real-world impacts, especially for students balancing caregiving, financial strain, disability, or mental health challenges.&nbsp;Nadine takes an&nbsp;evidence-informed&nbsp;approach to&nbsp;decision-making, data interpretation and risk assessment&nbsp;and couples that&nbsp;with experience in policy analysis and knowledge translation,&nbsp;and her work&nbsp;synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable recommendations that support accountability, sustainability, and student success.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nadine has&nbsp;volunteered with&nbsp;numerous&nbsp;organizations;&nbsp;she&nbsp;provided&nbsp;mental health support&nbsp;for peers and&nbsp;shared&nbsp;her&nbsp;experiences and stories&nbsp;at public speaking events&nbsp;through her work with The Royal and with the Ottawa Black Mental Health Coalition.
