{"id":14335,"date":"2026-06-04T15:37:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/boardofgovernors\/?post_type=cu_people&#038;p=14335"},"modified":"2026-06-30T15:01:47","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T19:01:47","slug":"sarah-anne-szabototh-2","status":"publish","type":"cu_people","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/boardofgovernors\/people\/sarah-anne-szabototh-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah Anne Szabototh"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"mb-6 cu-pageheader cu-component-updated md:mb-12\">\n    <h1 class=\"cu-prose-first-last font-semibold !mt-2 mb-4 md:mb-6 text-3xl md:text-4xl lg:text-5xl lg:leading-[3.5rem] relative after:absolute after:h-px after:bottom-0 pb-5 after:w-10 after:bg-cu-red after:left-px\">\n                    \n             \n                \n            <\/h1>\n\n    \n    <\/header>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah Anne Szabototh has worked at Carleton University for 12 years, with the past 8 years spent as both the&nbsp;Department Administrator for Biology and the Institute Administrator for Biochemistry.&nbsp;In 2022,&nbsp;Sarah&nbsp;Anne&nbsp;and her biology and biochemistry team received the Service Excellence Award.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah\u00a0Anne\u00a0has previously worked on the\u00a0Executive Timetabling Committee, chaired by the University Registrar, to\u00a0represent\u00a0the staff perspective during the annual review of the Coordinated Timetabling Policy.\u00a0Her committee work has given her\u00a0insight\u00a0into and an\u00a0understanding of\u00a0the\u00a0high-level decision-making process at Carleton.\u00a0In her committee work,\u00a0Sarah\u00a0Anne\u00a0pre-empts potential risks by making an active effort to investigate and communicate potential implications of actions early on, arriving to meetings informed and ready to deliberate.\u00a0Sarah\u00a0Anne&#8217;s\u00a0work has given her experience with the confidentiality around deliberations and navigating complexity.
