{"id":14335,"date":"2026-06-04T15:37:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/boardofgovernors\/?post_type=cu_people&#038;p=14335"},"modified":"2026-06-04T15:37:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:37:45","slug":"sarah-anne-szabototh-2","status":"publish","type":"cu_people","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/boardofgovernors\/people\/sarah-anne-szabototh-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah Anne Szabototh"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"mb-6 cu-pageheader cu-component-updated md:mb-12\">\n    <h1 class=\"cu-prose-first-last font-semibold !mt-2 mb-4 md:mb-6 text-3xl md:text-4xl lg:text-5xl lg:leading-[3.5rem] relative after:absolute after:h-px after:bottom-0 pb-5 after:w-10 after:bg-cu-red after:left-px\">\n                    \n             \n                \n            <\/h1>\n\n    \n    <\/header>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah Anne Szabototh has worked at Carleton University for 12 years, with the past 8 years spent as both the\u00a0Department Administrator for Biology and the Institute Administrator for Biochemistry.\u00a0In 2022,\u00a0Sarah\u00a0Anne\u00a0and her biology and biochemistry team received the Service Excellence Award.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah&nbsp;Anne&nbsp;has previously worked on the&nbsp;Executive Timetabling Committee, chaired by the University Registrar, to&nbsp;represent&nbsp;the staff perspective during the annual review of the Coordinated Timetabling Policy.&nbsp;Her committee work has given her&nbsp;insight&nbsp;into and an&nbsp;understanding of&nbsp;the&nbsp;high-level decision-making process at Carleton.&nbsp;In her committee work,&nbsp;Sarah&nbsp;Anne&nbsp;pre-empts potential risks by making an active effort to investigate and communicate potential implications of actions early on, arriving to meetings informed and ready to deliberate.&nbsp;Sarah&nbsp;Anne&#8217;s&nbsp;work has given her experience with the confidentiality around deliberations and navigating conflicting agendas.
