Carleton University commits to respecting and achieving good governance.  As a bicameral institution, governance at Carleton is shared by the Board of Governors and the Senate<\/a>. The Board of Governors acts as the corporate body, while the Senate serves as the highest academic body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Board of Governors Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the Carleton University Act<\/a>, the Board oversees the university\u2019s governance and administration. This includes making budgetary decisions and establishing policies necessary for sound management of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
