Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management students take on Ottawa\u2019s urban challenges in the first-ever PAPM case competition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams of PAPM students will analyze a current policy issue in the City of Ottawa and present their recommendations to a panel of judges, including Ottawa City Councillor Shawn Menard; School of Public Policy and Administration Professor Jessica Parish; and Canadian Heritage Policy Analyst, Dong Ngo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shawn Menard<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ottawa City Councillor – Capital Ward                Shawn has a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration with an undergrad in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University. He is the past president of the Alumni Association for the National Capital Region, the Carleton University Students Association and the Rideau River Residence Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Jessica Parish<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica Parish is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration, where she teaches courses on local and urban governance and sustainability. <\/span>Jessica\u2019s research and teaching interests are interdisciplinary and focus on debates across urban environmental justice, sustainable development, and feminist theories of social reproduction. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Dong Ngo<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Policy Analyst with the Federal Public Service
Dong is a graduate of Carleton\u2019s Master of Public Policy and Administration. He has worked for Transport Canada, the Privy Council Office and Canadian Heritage where he is currently employed. While at Carleton, Dong was a member of Carleton\u2019s Gold Medal winning team at the 2022 Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration Policy Case Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
