Ariana graduated from the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Ma<\/em><em>nageme<\/em><em>nt with Distinction on June 18, 2021. Ariana specialized in<\/em><em> International Policy Studies: International Relations and Conflict.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">What led you to choose a degree in BPAPM? <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">I knew I wanted to stay in Ottawa due to having been accepted to the Page Program so it was between Carleton or Ottawa U! I liked the Carleton campus better and felt as though this program was the best option for me considering my interests in Parliament and International Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">What were the highlights of your experience? <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">Finding classes that I didn&#8217;t just mildly enjoy but ones that I actually looked forward to every week in my later years! I didn&#8217;t think it was possible to like a class so much! I also loved the free printing in the lab.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">What did you learn that you found most important?&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">Reach out if you need help! I had an Academic Warning after first semester but now I have amazing grades. This doesn&#8217;t just go for courses you&#8217;re struggling with (for me it was ECON especially), but also if you have any type of disability\/life situation! As a student with a disability, signing up with the Paul Menton Centre was the best decision I made in my entire university career.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">What advice would you give to students who are thinking about joining the BPAPM program? <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">Do it! First year is full of theory and almost scared me away, but if you know you have an interest in a specialization, stick it out because you&#8217;re able to access classes that are only available to PAPM students!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">What\u2019s next for you? <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #201f1e;\">I am so lucky to have been accepted to do a Masters of Public and International Affairs at Glendon College! It&#8217;s a two-year program with the option to do a dual degree with the Universit\u00e9 de Strasbourg in France!
