The information below will connect you with resource materials and help you to navigate Brightspace support.<\/p>\n<h2>Getting Started with Brightspace<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Start by <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/set-up-your-mycarletonone-account-for-the-first-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">activating your MyCarletonOne (MC1) account<\/a>. Use your MC1 credentials to access your Brightspace account.\n<ul>\n<li>If you are a graduate student from the University of Ottawa in an Ottawa-Carleton Joint Institute program and require access to Brightspace, you must submit an <a href=\"https:\/\/gradstudents.carleton.ca\/faculty-of-graduate-and-postdoctoral-affairs-access-to-culearn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">application form<\/a> to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs for each applicable term. More information is available <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/all-services\/accounts-and-passwords\/#sect4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>To log in to Brightspace, use a web browser to launch <a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.carleton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/brightspace.carleton.ca<\/a>. Because Brightspace links externally to BBB, blocking 3rd party cookies will prevent your access to a BBB session.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div><strong>To ensure BBB access:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Turn off Incognito or Private mode.<\/strong> Privacy settings are great for preventing crosssite tracking, but they also stop you from getting into your webconferencing sessions. Most browsers block 3rd party cookies by default in these secret modes.<\/li>\n<li>Use the right browser for your device:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>On a Laptop\/desktop:<\/strong> use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.<\/li>\n<li>iPhone\/iPad: use Safari<\/li>\n<li>Android phone or tablet: use Chrome<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Enable 3rd party cookies in your browser.<\/strong> Follow these links for instructions:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatismybrowser.com\/guides\/how-to-enable-cookies\/chrome\">Google Chrome<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/kb\/websites-say-cookies-are-blocked-unblock-them\">\u00a0Mozilla Firefox<\/a> The *Standard* setting should work fine.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatismybrowser.com\/guides\/how-to-enable-cookies\/edge\">\u00a0Microsoft Edge<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatismybrowser.com\/guides\/how-to-enable-cookies\/safari-iphone\">iOS Safari<\/a>\u00a0 Both the *Prevent Cross-Site Tracking* and *Block All Cookies* settings must be turned off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Brightspace Supports and Resources<\/h2>\n<p>There are many ways places you can help with Brightspace.
