All academic courses are now hosted in <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/\">Brightspace<\/a>, which has officially replaced\u00a0cuLearn as Carleton\u2019s Learning Management System (LMS).\u00a0Log in at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.carleton.ca\/\">brightspace.carleton.ca<\/a>\u00a0using your MC1 credentials.\u00a0If you have logged in to the system and do not see courses available to you, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/students\/course-visibility-in-brightspace\/\">Course Visibility in Brightspace<\/a> page for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get to Know Brightspace\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re wondering where to begin with Brightspace, consider signing up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/online\/online-learning-orientation\/\">Online Learning Orientation<\/a>. You can explore the new system while reviewing strategies to help you succeed in online courses.<\/p>\n<p>To help you find content in your Brightspace courses, visit the Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) <a href=\"https:\/\/mediaspace.carleton.ca\/category\/Carleton+University+Galleries%3EBrightspace%3EBrightspace+for+Students\/204479823\">Student Brightspace\u00a0channel<\/a>\u00a0to watch a virtual tour of the new system and short videos of common Brightspace activities, such as completing a quiz or using the discussion tool. More videos will be added in the coming weeks!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accessing\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0Content\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/students\/accessing-previous-course-content-in-culearn\/\">access to\u00a0previous courses in cuLearn\u00a0will be maintained<\/a>\u00a0throughout 2021\u00a0to allow time to\u00a0review content, such\u00a0as\u00a0assignments and grades. cuLearn course data will not be imported to Brightspace\u00a0but will continue to be archived in\u00a0cuLearn.<\/p>\n<p>Remember though that direct access to past courses in\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0is dependent on whether the instructor has kept the course visible. Course access, whether in\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0or Brightspace, is at the discretion of the instructor.\u00a0If the course you are looking for is not available, please contact your instructor directly regarding access and content retrieval.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brightspace\u00a0Support\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learning a new LMS can be challenging a first. We know you\u2019ll have questions. D2L provides\u202fon-demand\u202ftechnical support for Brightspace\u202f24 hours a day,\u00a0seven\u00a0days a week, 365 days a year via email, chat and phone.\u202fYou can also check out Carleton\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/students\/#portal1\">Brightspace Student\u202fSupport\u202fwebsite<\/a> for helpful instructions for most course tasks and information about how to navigate the system.
