Roya graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor\u2019s degree in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering in April 2024 from Carleton University. She joined CABER as a research assistant and M.A.Sc. candidate in Sustainable Energy and Policy in May 2024.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She was a co-op student at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), where she led experiments on a biogas-diesel dual-fuel engine, and where her passion for research began. Roya also has a passion for sustainability, which grew while working on her fourth-year capstone project. The project’s goal was to provide a net-zero electricity solution for Ottawa with nuclear energy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Roya hopes to combine her passions for research and sustainability by working at CABER and providing sustainable building retrofit solutions.
