Visiting researcher from Finland

The Math Lab was pleased to host Gintas Silinskas from February to April 2019. Gintas came to us from the University of Jyväsklä in Finland, but he is originally from Lithuania. Heather, Sabrina, and Chang worked with him to analyze a large and exciting data set on home literacy and numeracy of Lithuanian children. You can read more about this work here.

The Start of our LLAMA Journey

The original LLAMA team met in the summer of 2018 to kick-off a longitudinal, international project investigating the role of language in mathematics achievement (LLAMA). Since then, our team has grown and we are looking forward to collecting data from a new cohort in the near future!
