Chunyun received her B.Sc. (Honours) in psychology in 2009 from Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China) and M.A. in psychology in January 2012 from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada). Under the supervision of Dr. Avi Parush during the master program, she has gained valuable experience in the fields of patient safety and teamwork within safety-critical contexts. Specially, for her master thesis, she conducted a study on the effectiveness of a team display in supporting commanders’ communication and situation awareness in fighting forest-fires.
She chose to study in math cognition for her Ph.D. program under the supervision of Dr. Jo-Anne LeFevre. This is also in line with her long-standing interests in math, psychology, and artificial intelligence. She graduated in 2018 and received a Senate Medal for outstanding academic achievement.
Chunyun is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the ACE Lab.
