Sabrina Burr was a member of the Math Lab from 2017-2021. Her research focused on mathematics learning from childhood to adulthood, examining the home mathematics environment, the role of language in learning mathematics, the relations between academic achievement and academic anxiety, and how adults solve different types of mathematics tasks (e.g., number line estimation, word problems). Her PhD thesis explored the developmental trajectories of ADHD symptoms, internalizing disorders, and academic outcomes for adolescents with and without ADHD who did or did not eventually enroll in post-secondary education. Currently, Sabrina is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia in developmental cognitive neuroscience. When she isn’t writing manuscripts, she is actively avoiding people and spending time with her dogs.
