Paterson Hall is named after Norman Paterson, one of Canada\u2019s longest serving senators whose generous financial support helped to develop Carleton\u2019s world-renowned programs in international affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here you\u2019ll find the College of Humanities, the Department of History, the Department of Philosophy, the Institute for African Studies, the CAEL Office and the School of Linguistics and Language Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia is located on the lower level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 accessible entrances. Main entrance has ramp and leads to level 2 (near the Quad). 2 entrances lead to level 1 (near Herzberg and Southam Hall).<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Interior Entrance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tunnel entrance with door opener and ramp leads to level 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washrooms<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Accessible stalls in male multi-stall washrooms on levels 1 (door opener) and 2-3 (open entry). Accessible stall in multi-stall female washroom on level 1 (door opener). Partially-accessible* universal washroom located off tunnel on level 1 (*no door opener). Numerous accessible washroom options in nearby MacOdrum Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
