The goals were to situate this wave of protests with respect to the global justice movement of the late 1990s and early 2000s, to look at its relation to local and national histories, and to put it in the contemporary context of worldwide struggles against austerity.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference was organised by: Canada-Europe Transatlantic Dialogue collaborator Jane Jenson and\u00a0Pascale Dufour (Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al), Marcos Ancelovici (McGill University) and H\u00e9lo\u00efse Nez (Universit\u00e9 de Tours), with support from CETD.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/canadaeurope\/wp-content\/uploads\/Street-politics-in-the-age-of-austerity_program_21-February-2013.pdf\"><strong>Program<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/canadaeurope\/wp-content\/uploads\/CETD_La-politique-dans-la-rue_Synthese_Sarrasin.pdf\"><strong>Appr\u00e9ciation synth\u00e9tique de l\u2019atelier<\/strong><\/a>, Par\u00a0Rachel Sarrasin,\u00a0Doctorante, Science politique, Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al<\/p>\n<p>Interviews were produced by the Canada-Europe Transatlantic Dialogue and presentations were recorded by le centre de recherche sur les Politiques et le D\u00e9veloppement Social (CPDS) au sein du d\u00e9partement de science politique de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al.
